Connect to Litmus over MCP

How to let your users connect their Litmus account to your product, and call Litmus's tools on their behalf over the Model Context Protocol.

What Litmus's MCP server is for

Litmus's MCP server puts a real lab in your agent's loop. Once a user connects their Litmus account to your product, your agent can turn their question into an order request, fill in what a lab needs, and submit it. Litmus handles the rest: matching to vetted labs, quotes, project management and sample logistics. You add wet-lab execution without building a lab network, and your users get from question to data faster, in control of how their data is used.

How an integration works

An integration has two parts.

1

Connect the user.

The user logs into Litmus and approves your app over OAuth, and your backend gets an access token for them. See Authentication.

2

Call the tools.

Your backend calls Litmus's MCP server with that token to create, refine and submit order requests. See MCP server.

The user decides which tools your app may call when they connect. See Consent and permissions.
